Rocky Top

My hubby has family from around Knoxville, so we always make a trip to watch the Gamecocks play the Vols at Neyland Stadium. His grandfather actually played for Coach Neyland, but after coach found out he had snuck off and gotten married....he kicked him off the team!!

Carolina doesn't have the greatest luck in TN, and this year was no exception.... The Vols won with a field goal in the last 3 seconds of the game! We totally should have won easy peasy, but the way we were playing combined with the 45+ yards in redic penalties there was no way. I have never seen such BAD calls from refs.  They really had a huge effect on the game, and it is a shame when that happens.  All in all, it was a bad football day in SC..... poor Clemson.

Luckily, we had a fantastic tailgate and were able to quickly drink and eat our feelings. Literally, our tailgate was SO big this lady cop was being a huge jerk and kept picking on us. At first she even tried to tell us we had to have the people stay behind the white lines of the actual parking spot. Um.... Hello... It's not possible to tailgate under you vehicle, dingbat! It was frustrating because there were lots of other tailgates "spilling" out in the middle who just made sure to move when cars came by. It's amazing no one from our group got carted away in silver bracelets.... The cop was being ridiculous and we had a lot of people that were not afraid to argue with her.

I gotta admit, it takes a lot to hold back from Jamming to the Rocky Top song when we're in TN! I will leave you with some pics:

Fluff N' Fold

We were about to make a late night Tarjay run and I realized I needed to switch the laundry first so I would have some scrubs for the next day.  So hubs was standing in the kitchen watching me take things from the washer, shake them, and put them in the dryer.  He had a puzzled look on his face and asked if I always used this shaking technique....... and I later found out why my friends....

The other day at work Mr. Teazy walked by a mirror or something and noticed he had a small "hump" over his shoulder. No one had said anything to him about it all day, so naturally he investigated. Here is what he found while shaking out his shirt:
  1. One small wash cloth sponge that I use to wash my face
  2. One pair of my panties!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. A sock.
Ohhhhhhhmyyyyyyygossssshhhhhhh are we serious about #2??????? Luckily he removed all items and was able to secretly secure them or he was just telling me that because I know I would have had to make some phone calls to my besties if panties fell out of my shirt. I mean HOW did he even get the shirt ON with all that stuff in there?? He always leaves the house earlier than I do, I am usually still in the bed when he is headed out the door, so he must have been in a rush that morning getting dressed.

He also decided to fess up and say that a woman he works with noticed he had a dryer sheet hanging out of his sleeve once. Bless it. Looks like I need to step my laundry game up! Thankfully he is such a good sport and we spent the next 2 hours laughing about it. Please tell me this has happened to some one else?!?

It's about time.....

It was one of my new year's resolutions to start blogging..... three years ago. Like most resolutions, major fail! So here is another attempt. It will probably take me awhile to get the hang of everything and learn all the cute fancy pants stuff.

Here are a few things about me:

  • I have been living in Greenville, SC for about 4 years
  • Downtown Greenville
  • I have been married for over three years to my favorite person EVER....Mr. Teezy!
Photo cred: The Schultzes

  • Yep, we went to Carolina and are GAMECOCK fans....we survive in a town so close to that other school

  • I was a double major in Marketing and Real Estate and I am now a Dental Hygienist.... What??? You don't see the connection??? Hahahaha..... totally random, this I know.

I love food, shopping, fashion, and occasionally being crafty. Since I have an awful memory, I'm hoping I can keep this up to be a "scrapbook" of some sorts.  I have enjoyed reading other blogs, so why not try to start one?! We will see how it goes... hopefully I'm not a one-post-wonder!
